Being a loyal fan of Keanu Reeves seemed strenuous for me in 2018. I finally understood one thing though, just because a movie features a big name in the industry doesn't guarantee that the movie will be a spectacular one. Siberia was a big disappointment in my own opinion and i couldn't bring myself to believe that Keanu would be involved in such an unworthy film. Destination wedding was not so good as well but definitely an improvement from Siberia and i must admit that i was a bit hesitant about watching any movie featuring this guy. If you felt the way i did in regards to the two movies i mentioned above then you will realize that 'Replicas' was definitely a redemption for Keanu. Yes it would have been much better if the acting was a bit stronger but hey, i was just glad i had given this guy another chance and i was pleased.

A neuroscientist is adamant on bringing his family back to life after losing them in a car crash. He must go against the laws of a government controlled lab and do everything in his power to replicate his family. This movie stirred mixed emotions in me. The way Keanu Reeves was bent on replicating his family was disturbing,touching and saddening considering the fact that he couldn't let his family rest in peace but i respected the lengths someone would go to just to have his family again. The role Keanu played in this movie was a good fit for him and his acting seemed natural. On the other hand, this movie tried to be a bit funny which in my own opinion was not necessary. This movie would have been much better if it had more strong and big actors because the plot is an interesting one if executed to perfection. However, like i mentioned above, this movie was a big comeback for Keanu Reeves and it's worth watching.
