What's the haunting of hill house about?
This chilling story alternates between two time frames namely the present and the past. A family tries to deal with their past which seems to have a lot of unresolved questions and is now interfering with their adult lives. Tensions rise when the siblings can't agree on what they experienced in the hill house and eventually leading them to abandon the house while young. Was the hill house really haunted or some siblings simply suffer from a mental condition? When tragedy strikes again, this family is now forced to confront their past and probably come to terms with the fact that there was something definitely off about their experience in the hill house.
Does the haunting of hill house get scary?
The first 3 episodes didn't really scare me. Actually i was still trying to figure out this whole plot. However, from episode 4 things changed. Slowly, the story started to become dark. As the story progressed i wasn't sure if i wanted to continue watching it especially at night. It became more spine-chilling, petrifying and the whole atmosphere of the series became more tense and sinister. It would only be fair to acknowledge the job well done by the creator of this masterpiece, Mike Flanagan.
